Krystal Lake Campground in Vassar, MI is hiring a seasonal Maintenance Technician to help keep our grounds, sites, and facilities in great working order.
Position Summary
From mowing and grounds care to small repairs and site upkeep, you'll be hands-on keeping the campground safe, functional, and looking sharp all season.
What You'll Do
- Perform grounds maintenance: mowing, trimming, raking, and general landscaping
- Complete basic repairs to buildings, sites, plumbing fixtures, and equipment
- Maintain restroom and utility systems and respond to maintenance requests
- Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, mowers, and utility vehicles safely
- Assist with trash/recycling collection and seasonal setup and teardown
- Identify safety hazards and help keep the campground clean and well-maintained
What We're Looking for
- General handyman, groundskeeping, or maintenance experience
- Comfort safely operating mowers, power tools, and utility vehicles
- A valid driver's license
- Dependability, problem-solving, and availability for weekend/holiday shifts in season
Physical Requirements
Able to work outdoors in all seasonal conditions; stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout a shift; frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds; operate power equipment; occasional work at heights (ladders). Minimum Age
You must be at least 18 years old for this position. This position requires you to be at least 18 years of age due to the use of power equipment, tools, and cleaning chemicals.
Schedule & Pay
Seasonal, hourly, W-2 employment running approximately April through October. Full-time and part-time schedules are available, including weekends and holidays during the operating season. Pay: Competitive, based on experience.
